Portraits

This project was alright. After I finished it, I felt like I could've taken much better pictures, but oh well. I'll try it again some day.
These are my two little friends, Alex and Kenzie. I know, it's dark. When I took this, I didn't realize that the lamp in the background would cast that much of a shadow.
This is my stepdad, Dave. I thought his face was perfect for this project because it it so square, and it looks like it has a story. When I printed this one, it came out crooked, so it was difficult to scan.
Dave again; just a front shot. I told him to give me as little expression as possible.
This one's my mom doing her "exasperated" face. She always does this whenever she's talking about someone or something that annoys her. I like it.

Self-Portrait

I'd give this project a 7/10 on a scale of funness. The 24 Things project is still my favorite.

Student+History Book=Death by Boredom (almost)

I don't understand make-up.

I was mad at...something. I like the symmetry in this one; how there are two white doors on either side of me, and me all dark in the middle.

I meant to have the background be blurry and the foreground clear, but it didn't work. Oh well.

Light

Just a heads-up: I didn't like this project. My camera doesn't have a light meter, so a lot of my shots were either over- or under-exposed. >:O

This is one of my silhouettes. It's Wolfie, see? ...Ok, maybe he's not so clear.

I like this one sort of more than the first one. It kind of works; the lamp is in focus while the background is blurry. This was an example of diffused light.

24 Things

This project has been my absolute favorite so far.

This one is a picture of a gated "community" near my house (it only has three houses), for 'Closed'. It could be darker and it's a little off-center, but I'm just glad that the picture itself is fine. Now if I want, I can go back and reprint it so that it looks scarier and fits the paper correctly.

This one is a picture of my friends getting ready for Homecoming. I chose it to show 'Reflection', and I think it's pretty decent.

I had extra time in class and was playing around with Photoshop. It's okay, nothing special.

This last one is a picture of my mailbox, representing 'Familiar'. Kudos to my mom for having the idea of painting our address on it like that.

Pinholes!

This was actually my second pinhole ever; my first had a light leak.

Mysterious words in the corner and a black thing coming out of my mouth...Hmm...

I loved this project! This one was taken at the base of a tree, facing the Auditorium area.

And here's the positive. I like how you can see the grass blades.

Photograms

This one's alright. It was really fun to do.

And here's a partial positive.

One Thing

So, I'm not totally pleased with this photo. I don't know, I guess it just doesn't do anything for me. Hopefully the next batch will be better.

I like this one better. :)

The Photos are Coming! The Photos are Coming!

The photos are a-comin', don't worry. I know you're eager to see them, but be patient.
